Competition Math is a 10-week/30-hour course that provides new and experienced math coaches with fundamental math content knowledge, problem-solving strategies and coaching best practices that are essential when working with a middle school or high school math team. For those who are new to Competition Math or those who are looking to take their current math teams to the next level, Competition Math for Middle School Coaches will give you the tools you need to become a more effect math team coach.

This course focuses on problem solving, and the skills needed to solve those problems are directly related to the NCTM Standards for grades 6–8, Math Standards, and Mathematics Common Score State Standards. The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that engages middle school students in all 50 states and all levels of ability in fun math programs in order to expand their academic and professional opportunities.
